On 25 September 2026, AZA4ICE project was presented to the general public during the European Researchers’ Night in Split, Croatia.
Representatives of the Croatian project partners, the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries and Adria Innovation Harbour, introduced visitors to the main objectives and activities of AZA4ICE and highlighted the importance of developing more sustainable, circular and inclusive approaches to aquaculture.
Through direct interaction with visitors, they had the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing MediterraneanAquaculture, while presenting how AZA4ICE supports the exchange of knowledge and the development of innovative approaches to spatial planning and circular aquaculture.
The event was also an excellent opportunity to bring science closer to citizens, raise awareness of sustainable aquaculture, and engage younger generations through AZA4ICE educational materials, including the project’s cardboard game and comics.
We were delighted to share the AZA4ICE vision with the public and to contribute to an evening dedicated to science, innovation, and dialogue between researchers and society.
