A beach cleaning activity was organised on April 25 at the public beach Rezalište in Šibenik, Croatia. The initiative, led by the staff of AZA4ICE (Razvojna agencija Šibensko-kninske županije), brought together a diverse group of participants, including kindergarten children, school students, and well-intentioned passers-by who joined the effort on site.
The main objective of the activity was to remove cigarette butts and small waste items that are often overlooked during visits to the beach. Unfortunately, such waste frequently ends up not only in the Adriatic Sea, but also in the marine food chain.
This activity represents a modest but meaningful contribution to environmental preservation and aims to raise awareness about the importance of responsible behaviour towards nature.
