As part of the project’s educational outreach activities in Spain, IFAPA external experts have launched a series of school visits to introduce young students to the principles of sustainable aquaculture.
The first visit took place on 22 October at CP San Ignacio Primary School in Andalucía, marking the beginning of a programme that will engage 20 schools across the region.
To make the learning experience interactive and engaging, the team presented an IMTA (Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture) simulation box. This hands-on tool helped students understand how this innovative approach promotes balance and sustainability within aquatic ecosystems.
