The Region of Ionian Islands and the University of Patras (Lead Partner) are pleased to host the 2nd Meeting of the LiRRIE Network in the framework of the AZA4ICE project. This event follows the successful launch of the LiRRIE Network in Greece and its inaugural meeting, marking an important step forward in advancing responsible and innovative aquaculture practices.

The meeting will take place on 25 November at 11:00, at the Regional Administration Building in Lefkada, and will gather local and regional stakeholders involved in the Greek pilot activities.

The two main technical partners — IMC and IFAPA — will participate as trainers of the AZA4ICE methodology and as facilitators of an interactive discussion with stakeholders, promoting knowledge exchange and co-creation.

This second LiRRIE event will focus on:

• Progress in testing the AZA4ICE methodology within the Lefkada lagoon pilot and updates on the monitoring activities;
• Exploration of opportunities for innovation and circular practices in aquaculture across the region, highlighting potential synergies for sustainable development.

The event aims to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, enhance the implementation of the AZA4ICE approach, and foster shared strategies for inclusive and circular aquaculture in the Ionian Islands.
