On 18 March, the AZA4ICE project team brought together stakeholders from the aquaculture sector at the Olhão facilities of IPMA for the 4th and final LiRRIE meeting, united by a shared vision for more sustainable aquaculture in the Ria Formosa.
The goal? To define the final contributions to an Action Plan aimed at supporting a circular and inclusive transition in the region, with the involvement of public authorities, academia, industry, civil society and the environmental sector.
A highlight was the presentation of a guide on Circular Practices and Business Opportunities in the Mediterranean and Portugal, designed to support new entrepreneurs looking to embrace circular economy approaches in the aquaculture sector.
A meeting marked by knowledge sharing, collaboration, and the co-creation of innovative and responsible solutions for the future of aquaculture.
