3rd LiRRIE Meeting in Cádiz — A Day of Collaboration & Impact!
On 13 November 2025, the AZA4ICE project hosted its 3rd LiRRIE (Living Responsible Research & Innovation Ecosystems) meeting at the Faculty of Marine Sciences in Puerto Real, Cádiz, together with IFAPA.
What we focused on:
Presenting and validating the C-AZA methodology applied in the Bay of Cádiz — a major step toward creating Circular Allocated Zones for Aquaculture.
Highlights:
– Exchange of insights on C-AZA results
– Evaluation of circular planning tools
– Co-design of an Action Plan for sustainable coastal aquaculture
This gathering united public institutions, researchers, and the aquaculture industry, reinforcing the Bay of Cádiz as a model for circular and resilient aquaculture in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
