Ulcinj Hosts 2nd #LiRRIE Event under #AZA4ICE Project – May 13, 2025
On May 13, Ulcinj became a hub for innovation and collaboration as it hosted the 2nd #LiRRIE event, part of the #AZA4ICE project. The gathering brought together key stakeholders to deepen understanding of circular economy principles and regulatory frameworks in aquaculture.
Participants benefited from expert-led training, interactive demonstrations, and dynamic discussions, exploring sustainable aquaculture models such as IMTA (Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture) and RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems). Regulatory insights and tools like the BLUEfasma self-assessment further enriched the learning experience.
The event received high satisfaction scores, underscoring strong momentum for advancing circular economy practices in Montenegro’s aquaculture sector, with a spotlight on Šasko Lake.
