On May 5, 2025, the event “Shaping the future of the Adriatic – Ionian Region: Cooperation, Innovation and Sustainability” took place in Crete, as part of the 10th EUSAIR Annual Forum.
The event was powered by AZA4ICE and ProcuraMED projects of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme and gathered key projects focused on green and blue growth, sustainable procurement, digitalization and regional resilience.
With a forward-looking perspective beyond 2027, the discussion explored:
– Synergies between ongoing initiatives in sustainable procurement, blue economy and environmental innovation.
– Challenges and opportunities in aligning regional priorities with EU Green Deal objectives and future policy frameworks.
– Pathways for cooperation to ensure long-term impact, knowledge transfer, and policy integration in the Adriatic-Ionian region aligned to the EUSAIR key priorities and flagships.
